Call for Proposals for Grey to Green Conference
Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) invites you to submit a presentation proposal for the Grey to Green Conference in Toronto, Ontario, taking place from August 25-26, 2014.
The theme of this two-day conference is on the numerous ways in which green infrastructure can improve our social, economic and community health and well-being. Some of the leading-edge topics to be explored at Grey to Green include: designing with nature and the bottom line; greening health-care facilities; new restorative high-performance green schools; community/participant design; ways of cleaning the air we breathe; thinking big about rising temperatures; food for thought; rethinking parks; employment opportunities; and biodiverse cities. Green infrastructure is defined as natural vegetation and vegetative technologies that collectively provide society with a broad array of products and services for healthy living such as urban forests, green roofs, living walls, rain gardens, bioswales, community gardens, etc.
The benefits of presenting at the Grey to Green Conference include: extensive exposure, as your name, bio, and presentation description will be featured on the conference website and listed in the onsite printed guide; as a speaker you will receive a reduced rate of $199 + HST on the Delegate registration package, which includes lunch, trade show, all the sessions and the networking reception; an invitation to the VIP reception on Sunday, August 24, 2014; speaker gift of a copy of The Rise of Living Architecture (commemorative edition); and the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals.
