The Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto is inviting members of Toronto’s AED community to join in a celebration of the success of the Building Black Success Through Design (BBSD)‘s 2023 mentorship program.

The evening event takes place on Saturday, April 15th 2023, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The BBSD SHOWCASE 2023 will highlight design projects by the student-led program’s talented cohorts of Black high school students.

Building Black Success Through Design (BBSD) is a 12-week mentorship program offered through the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto. Started in 2022, the program was conceived to support Black high school students who are interested in architecture and design, by pairing them with members of the Daniels Faculty’s Black Students in Design (BSD) group.

The goal of the program is to inspire Black students to pursue excellence and innovation within design industries and academia, enhancing diversity within the field and, through this, building Black success through design.

Free registration for the in-person event is available here.
