Aspiring Canadian designers are invited to participate, with the hopes of representing Canada on the world stage at the Bombay Sapphire Global Design Competition held in Milan, Italy in April 2005. Since its launch, Bombay Sapphire has strongly supported the design community around the world, and showcases top designers through initiatives like this competition. This competition represents a chance for Canada to showcase its design talent on a global platform.
The submission is open to aspiring Canadian designers who are of legal drinking age, with a maximum of three years post-graduation design industry experience. The deadline is January 6, 2005, and three designs will be selected by a distinguished panel of Canadian judges. These finalists will be unveiled on March 10, 2005, at a Canadian event in Toronto, where the Grand Prize Winner will be announced. The winner of the competition will receive a 3-day trip to Milan (airfare and hotel) for themselves and one guest in April, plus $500 spending money to attend the prestigious Bombay Sapphire Global Glass Design Event in Milan as Canada’s representative.
