Bold by Design: Registration open for OAA conference
The Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) has opened registration for this year’s conference: Bold by Design. Taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and Delta Hotel in late May, the three-day conference will explore the biggest questions and challenges facing the future of architecture. Registration for the 2018 conference is now open, with a full conference program and schedule of continuing education sessions, presentations, special events, site tours, and keynote speakers, now available.
“The architectural issues of the 21st century will require big thinking and radical approaches. We must use the knowledge and skills of our profession–creativity, design thinking and critical analysis—to challenge existing models and develop innovative approaches to complex problems,” the OAA website explains.
Taking place from May 23-25, Bold by Design will bring together many hundreds of architects, students, and design professionals, from across the province and the country. As with past years, a well-attended conference can be expected. For context, the last OAA conference to be hosted in Toronto — in 2016 — welcomed just over 1,900 attendees. Next year, the 2019 annual conference is set to be held in Ottawa.
More information about Bold by Design —including the complete and updated three-day schedule — is available via the OAA’s official website, while registration and pricing information can be found here.
