The Pentagon’s Sept. 11 memorial will be 184 “light benches” each inscribed with a victim’s name, under the final flight path of hijacked American Airlines Flight 77, the US Defense Department said yesterday. The memorial, designed by Julie Beckman and Keith Kaseman of New York, was chosen from an initial 1126 entries and then six finalists. A pool of light will sit beneath each aluminum-polyester bench.
