Arthur Erickson Lecture and Wine Tasting
On July 6, 2004, Toronto’s Design Exchange hosts a lecture by Arthur Erickson, Global Architect at 7:00pm-8:00pm. On the occasion of his 80th birthday, Erickson will participate in an on-stage presentation celebrating his work. As with other nights in the Series, this will be followed at 8:00pm by a wine-tasting presented by the Wines of France. The DX is Canada’s design museum, located at 234 Bay Street in the historic Toronto Stock Exchange building.
Arthur Erickson is an award-winning architect whose work has earned him a reputation as an advocate of cultural awareness. His approach to his profession has garnered recognition from numerous international architectural institutes. Erickson is well-known for his design philosophy which recognizes the importance of existing environmental and urbanistic conditions when conceiving of and designing a building project.
