Urban design competition in Riga, Latvia

Registered architects and urban planners worldwide are invited to submit to this competition, the aim of which is the urban design of the new Riga city centre in Latvia, and the architectural vision for the Riga City Council and the Latvian State Administrative Complex in the territory in Pardaugava on the left bank of the Daugava opposite the historic centre of Riga.

The jury includes chief architects of the capitals of the Baltic Sea states and representatives of the International Union of Architects.

A total of 80,000 LVL (113,000) will be awarded, and there is no entry fee. September 3, 2007 is the submission deadline, and winners will be announced on October 1, 2007.
