Fully matriculated students (not graduating in Spring 2005) working towards the Master of Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture degrees are invited to participate in the Professional Experience Program Award offered by the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design. The program is a portfolio-based competition that will award selected students with access to challenging and exciting work internships in internationally acclaimed professional offices.

Students wishing to participate in this program are required to submit a portfolio of work (bound colour output, 8.5" x 11"), curriculum vitae, and one reference letter except SOM portfolios, which should be PDF format, with the total file no larger than 1MB, and sent to yvonne.hilder@utoronto.ca. The deadline for portfolio submission is 12:00pm Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at the Faculty Office, and should be delivered to Yvonne Hilder.

Students may apply for a position at any or all of the offices. Ranking indicating priority of choice (first, second, etc.) MUST be included with the submission. A copy of the portfolio must be submitted for each office. Portfolios will be reviewed by the Dean and a committee selected by the Dean.

Students will be responsible for making travel and living arrangements. Salaries can be expected in the normal range and are being negotiated by al&d. Visas and work permits will be arranged by al&d. Work permit fees (approximate cost for working in Germany is $400 USD; in the USA, $600 USD) will be advanced to winning students by al&d, and a repayment schedule will be arranged.
