The 32nd edition of Cersaie returns to the Bologna Exhibition Center in Bologna, Italy from September 22-26, 2014. Like the Milan Furniture Fair of the tile industry, Cersaie is the world’s largest premier exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings, the show is organized by Edi.Cer SpA and promoted by Confindustria Ceramica in collaboration with Bologna Fiere, and attracts nearly 1,000 exhibitors from 30+ countries and over 75,000 unique visitors each year.

A primary highlight of Cersaie 2014 is a keynote lecture by 2013 Pritzker Prize-winning architect Toyo Ito on Thursday, September 25th. Known for creating conceptual architecture in which he seeks to simultaneously express the physical and virtual worlds, seminal works include Sendai Mediatheque, “Tower of Winds” in Yokohoma, Torre Realia BCN in Barcelona and, most recently, the Taichung Metropolitan Opera House in Taiwan.

Other highlights include: expanded categories of interior and exterior floor and wall-covering materials including marble, natural stone, wood and laminate; Building, Dwelling, Thinking, Cersaie’s conference and seminar series, which will feature additional guest speakers including Carme Pinós, Javier Corvalán, Riccardo Blumer and Stefano Mirti.
