In January 2008, Mayor David Miller’s Economic Competitiveness Advisory Committee released an Agenda for Prosperity, described as “a bold, innovative action plan that will increase prosperity, enhance liveability, and create opportunity for all Torontonians.” What can be done to ensure that this plan delivers the innovative ideas and partnerships that Toronto will need to succeed in the century ahead?
On Wednesday, March 5, 2008 from 8:00am to 10:00am in the Trinity Ballroom at the Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre in Toronto, hear Carol Coletta, President and CEO of the organization CEOs for Cities address the City of Toronto’s new prosperity plan. Carol will offer her insights on how other cities have succeeded in setting the stage for their future growth, and how the same can be done in Toronto.
Based in Chicago, CEO for Cities is a network of mayors, corporate CEOs, university presidents, foundation officials, business and civic leaders who act as an idea lab for cities. The organization aims to take a fresh look at cities and how to make the most of their assets by building new leadership partnerships around urban innovations.
