Tools for Schools, a Canadian non-profit organization concerned with the 5% literacy rate for women in Northern Ghana, has invited students and faculty from the University of Manitoba to join them in their efforts to build a dormitory and study hall for 24 girls. Participants will spend four weeks on location learning with a group of Ghanaian teachers, students, and community members while sharing their skills as designers and builders. Together they hope to create inspiring and safe places for girls to pursue senior secondary education.
