It’s just over a week away from the annual Heritage Toronto Awards and William Kilbourn Memorial Lecture. This event is an important moment on Toronto’s cultural calendar when we gather to celebrate outstanding city builders: individuals, corporations, and community groups who have woven our shared heritage into the fabric of their work with exceptional results.
This year’s Heritage Toronto Awards and William Kilbourn Memorial Lecture will take place on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the stunning Koerner Hall at the Royal Conservatory of Music, located at 273 Bloor Street West. The evening begins with the Nominees’ Reception from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, followed by the
formal program beginning at 7:30pm.
The William Kilbourn Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Chief Bryan LaForme, Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation, and is titled A Layered City: 200 Years of the Mississaugas and Toronto. The lecture will be followed by the Heritage Toronto Awards, emceed once again by Mary Ito, the engaging host of CBC Radio’s Fresh Air.
