Design at Riverside salutes the 125th anniversary of the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) with an exhibition of 25 award-winning architectural projects selected from the OAA Awards archives. For The OAA Turns 125: 25 Award Winners from 1989-2014, one project from each of the years 1989-2014 has been chosen to mark the founding of the OAA Awards and the 25 years since the centenary of the OAA. The works were selected by Gordon Grice, editor of Perspectives magazine, the quarterly journal of the OAA.
In addition, Design at Riverside has the honour of hosting the public launch of 100+25 Years: OAA Perspectives on a Quarter-Century, a 125th anniversary retrospective limited-edition book of engaging and critical architectural writing.
The opening reception and book launch takes place at 7:00pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Design at Riverside in Cambridge, Ontario. Remarks begin at 7:30pm, and refreshments will be served. Admission to the opening is free, and all are welcome. The exhibition runs until June 21, 2014.
The OAA is providing a complimentary bus from Toronto to Cambridge and a return bus back to Toronto for the evening. Please RSVP to book seats by e-mailing [email protected] or by calling 519.621.0460.
The bus departs Toronto at 5:15pm sharp, returning at approximately 10:00pm. The pickup and dropoff point is at Teeple Architects Inc., located at 5 Camden Street in downtown Toronto (closest intersection is Spadina Avenue and Richmond Street West).
