The Design of Sustainability and the Sustainability of Design

In conjunction with Ryerson Universitys School of Interior Designs Year End Show entitled The New Black, they are hosting this informative panel discussion. Present on the panel are Toronto designers Patty Johnson from the North South Project and Barb Ciesla from HOK Canada, and will be accompanied by Lloyd Alter, architect and writer for treehugger.com. This panel will address issues pertaining to sustainability and design. The evening will be moderated by Dr. Michael Prokopow, curator for the Design Exchange, professor at Ryerson University, and an adjunct professor for the School of Architecture, Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto.

The Design of Sustainability and the Sustainability of Design will be held on Monday, March 5, 2007 from 6:30pm-8:30pm with a reception to follow. The discussion will be located in Ryerson Universitys George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre at 245 Church Street, Room ENG 103.
