SUPERFLEX and Too Perfect: Seven New Denmarks

November 1, 2004
by Canadian Architect

Part activists, part provocateurs, the Danish art group SUPERFLEX’s three core members have worked together since 1995 to produce diverse works which are tied together by their promotion of self-organization and their interests in grassroots-based activism.

Too Perfect is about the future of Danish architecture and design. The exhibition includes a “Hall of Fame” that pays homage to Danish modern’s best chairs lamps, tableware and architecture, and a series of “Pragmatic Utopias” by Danish architecture and design firms Plot, kontrapunkt, Nord, Arkitema and SRL that take architecture beyond the realm of buildings and furniture into other areas of life that we have the capacity to design. The exhibition continues until November 21 at The Power Plant Gallery at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto.
