Steven Holl receives honorary degree from Moholy-Nagy University in Budapest

On October 30, 2006, Steven Holl was awarded with an honorary degree, the Honoris Causa, at the Moholy-Nagy University of Arts and Design Budapest (Hungary) for his outstanding oeuvre.

The predecessor of the Moholy-Nagy University of Arts and Design Budapest, the Royal National School of Arts and Crafts, was founded in 1880.

The Moholy- Nagy University currently trains artists in five major fields: architecture, industrial design, ceramics and glass, textile and visual communication.

Steven Holl joins a roster of noted recipients that includes renowned designer Eva Zeisel.
