Don’t miss this comprehensive, one-day educational event on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 that will discuss the 2015 National Code change permitting wood-frame mid-rise construction. Fire protection, acoustic, structural, and building envelope issues for these buildings will be examined. Learn best practices from mid-rise experienced practitioners from BC, where mid-rise wood frame buildings have been permitted since 2009. Join the workshop to learn the differences between nine-metre and six-storey construction through case studies of realized projects.

The Alberta Mid-rise Opportunity Information workshop will provide up-to-date information for developers, designers, contractors, project managers, government and code officials on the wood-frame mid-rise opportunity.
