Deadline for free registration to IIDEX Neocon Canada is Wednesday, September 15. After that date, admission to the exhibit hall is $20 online and on site. IIDEX Neocon Canada takes place from Thursday, September 30 to Friday, October 01.
The program includes Joel Bakan as the Business Keynote and Dr. Thomas Homer-Dixon as the Environmental Keynote. Bakan delivers his message on Thursday, September 30 from 4:30-5:30pm, and is the Canadian best-selling author of The Corporation: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power, as well as the co-creator and writer of the documentary film The Corporation, winner of the 2004 World Cinema Documentary Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival. Homer-Dixon is director of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Toronto, and Associate Professor in U of T’s Department of Political Science. He will speak on Friday, October 01 from 9:00-10:00am.
The Design Keynote speaker is the New York architecture studio of LOT-EK, headed by Italian-born partners Ada Tolla and Giuseppe Lignano. LOT-EK is known for its idiosyncratic use of prefabricated industrial objects that are manipulated and integrated into the design of innovative, and often transformable, buildings and interiors for residential, commercial, museum and institutional projects.
