The Society of Architectural Historians (SAH) has awarded the 2003 Spiro Kostof Award to Mario Carpo, head of the Study Centre at the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA). The SAH has acquired Carpo’s winning publication, Architecture in the Age of Printing, Orality, Writing, Typography and Printed Images in the History of Architectural Theory (MIT Press, 2001) will become part of the Society’s permanent collection on display at the library in the Charnley-Persky House, Chicago. The CCA’s Study Centre supports advanced research in architectural history and thought for visiting scholars and architects conducting research at the post-doctoral level.
