West Coast Points East: Ron Thom and the Allied Arts will unfurl the story of West Coast architect Ron Thom in four stages: training at the Vancouver School of Art; West Coast houses; Massey College; and Trent University. Drawing on the private holdings of his family members, colleagues, and archives, the exhibition will show the provenance and influences of Thom’s creative process, with drawings, artifacts and other materials on public exhibited for the very first time. The exhibition is curated by Adele Weder, with exhibition design by Public: Architecture + Communications.

The exhibition launches this summer at the West Vancouver Museum on July 4, 2013, ending on September 21, 2013, and travels to the Gardiner Museum in Toronto from February 13 to April 27, 2014, ending at the Trent University Gallery in Peterborough from August 7 until October 22, 2014.
