Taking place from Wednesday, March 27 to Sunday, March 31, 2013 at the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto, the One of a Kind Show has been Canada’s premiere show and sale of handcrafted products for over 35 years, the The popular spring show sees thousands of showgoers eager to preview new collections, purchase handmade creations, participate in Designer DIY Workshops (Custom Vinyl Toy – Rose Chang & Stephanie Drabik of Crywolf on March 30th from 9:00am to 11:00am; Origami Lotus Flower Paper Lantern – Robert Wu of Studio Robert Wu on March 31st from 9:00am to 11:00am) and vote for their favourite design in the Bunny Rabbit competition – a feature gallery-like display of creative interpretations by exhibitors using their personal medium.

What makes the One of a Kind Show special is in its DNA – creating a show that gives consumers an emotional connection by meeting and supporting the makers. A special section is designated to fresh talent who together with veteran artisans create a vast array of items such as gourmet food, screen-printed textiles, contemporary ceramics and on-trend fashions, to name a few. Under one roof, guests can discover a range of original handmade Canadian pieces from four key shopping districts: Flavours, Fashion, Green and Rising Stars.

With a proud focus on homegrown talent for an interactive personal shopping experience like no other, an endless selection, on-site perks and a multitude of show features make this event “destination shopping” at its best.

Admission for adults is $14 ($12 online); seniors and youth (aged 13-17) is $7; and children aged 12 & under are free.

The Direct Energy Centre at Exhibition Place is located at 100 Princes’ Boulevard in Toronto.
