Montreal’s Quartier des spectacles call for candidatures

December 21, 2004
by Canadian Architect

The Quartier des spectacles Partnership (QDSP) of Montreal wishes to inform all interested professional firms that it is conducting a search for candidates interested in a development project concerning iconography, branding and identification.

This partnership of 21 member organizations from public and private sectors was formed in 2003 to develop financial and other tools necessary to spur the establishment of cultural businesses, artist residencies and property access programs for all residents of east downtown Montreal. NOMADE architecture and Brire Gilbert + Associs have been hired to facilitate the planning process. The QDSP is calling for a more unified streetscape and is intended to eliminate vacant lots and regenerate the existing urban fabric.
