Let’s Talk About Lost Spaces

September 15, 2014
by Canadian Architect

d.talks in Calgary presents this event on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Festival Hall, located at 1215 10th Avenue SE in Calgary.

A lost space could be in-between, underutilized, overlooked or even leftover. This event will explore what lost spaces offer in terms of biodiversity, public use or even commercial venture. Opportunities will also be sought to take advantage of those spaces. Can a lost space be “found”? Can these lost spaces be transformed into a play/meeting/productive space? And, should they be?

Matthew Passmore of San Francisco’s MoreLab speaks, along with a panel comprised of Chris Manderson of the City of Calgary, and David Low of Victoria Park BRZ. Councillor Gian-Carlo Carra moderates.

Tickets are $12 for adults, and $5 for students. To purchase, please visit
