This awards program targets the best and outstanding restaurant design or renovation since January 1, 2005. The restaurant must have been completed in the last three years (since January 1, 2005), and the restaurant must be open to the public and in operation at the time of submission. Entries may be submitted by the designer, design firm or client provided that all credits are acknowledged on this form. An applicant may enter more than one award category, and more than one project ina category. A project previously submitted may be resubmitted, provided that it still meets allcriteria. All materials become the property of the James Beard Foundation. No materials willbe returned. Publication-quality photography is important.
The design committee includes Belmont Freeman, Belmont Freeman Architects, NYC (Chair); Noreen Morioka, AdamsMorioka Inc., Beverly Hills, CA; Chee Pearlman, Chee Company, NYC; Lucille Tenazas, Tenazas Design / ECCO, NYC; and Bill Weathersby, Freelance Architectural Editor, NYC. At this time, the design jury is comprised of New York-based architect Lindy Roy.
Entries must be received by January 31, 2008, and each entry must comprise the completed and signed entry form plus a $100 cheque for the entry fee, payable to the James Beard Foundation.
