They say Italians do it best, and this year, Interior Design Show West (IDSwest) is once again playing host to some of the most important minds in international design. World-renowned Italian architect and product designer Piero Lissoni will attend IDSwest as keynote speaker for 2012.

Presented by Livingspace Interiors, Lissoni promises to add European style to this year’s show not only through his presentation but also a custom designed space. Working with brand partners Porro and Living Divani, Lissoni will design a 1,200-square-foot onsite installation for Livingspace, which promises to be a highlight for Vancouver’s designsavvy audiences.

In addition, Lissoni will speak about his inspiration, approach as well as recent projects at 5:00pm on Friday September 28, 2012.

For nearly 30 years, Piero Lissoni and his company Lissoni Associati have collaborated with many of the world’s most prestigious international companies and has designed everything from a yacht for Luciano Benetton to the Ferrari Club House at the Fiorano Race Track, the showrooms and corporate identity for Elie Tahari, hotels from Amsterdam to Jerusalem, and a collection for Kartell. This will mark his first speaking engagement in Vancouver.

IDSwest runs from September 27-30, 2012 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
