This international prize is designed to highlight completed landscape projects and to promote the quality of forest and urban green spaces. This annual prize is being organized for the fifth time and has been approved for the third time by the international Union of Architects (UIA).
Projects submitted for this prize must correspond to one of the following categories:
Landscape design in transformation of the territory: environmental restoration, renewaland recovery.
Urban green spaces: squares, neighbourhoods or urban parks.
Private gardens and parks in cities and suburbs.
The prize is open to architects and landscape/environmental professionals registered in their own countries. Projects having won other prizes or awards are not eligible.
There is no entry fee. Registration and submission of entries must be sent to the organizers by post or express courier no later than March 06, 2007, and must be received no later than March 16, 2007.
The international jury will be composed of professionals appointed by the followingprofessional bodies: the International Union of Architects (UIA), the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA), the European Foundation for Landscape Architecture (EFLA), theEuropean Federation for Landscape Architecture (FEAP), the National Council of ItalianArchitects, Planners, Conservators, Landscape Architects (CNAPPC), the Council of theNational Order of Agronomist Engineers and Italian Foresters (CONAF), the ItalianAssociation for Landscape Architecture (AIAPP), as well as a representative from the editorialteam of Italian magazine Torsanlorenzo Informa and Mario Margheriti of Torsanlorenzo Gruppo Florovivaistico. The jury will meet on March 23, 2007.
Two prizes will be awarded in each of the three categories: first prize is 2,500 Euro and second prize is 1,000 Euro. The official awards ceremony will be held on May 05, 2007.
