International Competition for Master Plan for Saint Mark’s Coptic Canadian Village

Saint Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Toronto invites architects and interdisciplinary teams world-wide to enter a competition for the master plan for a group of buildings called the St. Mark’s Coptic Canadian Village to be built in phases over perhaps a ten year period. The campus plan is to include a cathedral to house a congregation of approximately 2500, set in a context of related buildings, including a second Church to seat approximately 1250, a Bishop’s residence, a school, daycare, community centre, museum, retirement/nursing home, senior citizen apartment building and office building. All components could be combined or separated as deemed appropriate.
The registration deadline is June 16 and the submission deadline is June 30.
