Taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from January 26-29, 2012, the Interior Design Show is Canada’s largest contemporary design fair. Since the doors first opened in 1999, IDS has been visited by over 500,000 design professionals, design-savvy consumers and media; it has served as a design industry hub providing a unique and unrivalled business opportunity for thousands of design-forward businesses.
Each year world-renowned designers and architects participate as keynote speakers and create inspiring feature exhibits. From Milan, Paris, London, Stockholm, Copenhagen, New York and Toronto – come see the design world’s trailblazers, gamechangers and celebrities in exhibits and on the stage.
This year, featured speakers in the Conversations in Design series include, among others: Piero Lissoni, Principal of Lissoni Associates; Eero Koivisto, Designer and Partner in Claesson Koivisto Rune Architects; and Piero Gandini, President and CEO of FLOS.
On Friday, Trade Day features three fantastic internationally acclaimed designers including Bjarke Ingels of BIG Architects in Copenhagen; designer Fabio Novembre of Milan’s Studio Novembre, and designer Matali Crasset, Principal of Matali Crasset Productions in Paris. This CEU-accredited lecture series takes place on the KRUPS stage on the exhibit floor during Trade Day. It is an unparalleled opportunity to meet and see world renowned designers and architects and hear about their inspiration, projects and view on the direction of current design trends.
