IIDEX 2012 kicks off today and it’s not too late to register for the Conference Program and Exhibit Hall. Admission into the Exhibit Hall is $25 per person – but with the purchase of a seminar from our 2012 Conference Program, you will receive free admission into the Exhibit Hall!
Every year IIDEX welcomes architects, interior designers, industry professionals, facility managers, lighting designers, landscape architects, industrial designers and more, so get ready for an exciting show with inspiring seminars, keynotes, awards, parties and 350 + exhibitors.
Special Delivery is an exhibition which transforms 18-wheeler truck interiors into site-specific, immersive installations created by local designers and artists responding to the mobile space of show trucks. Paired with a truck sponsor, each installation is inspired by and/or incorporates the materials, processes or products of the vehicles they inhabit.
This exclusive exhibition features artist and designer Scott Eunson with Wilsonart International; multi-media artist Christina Zeidler with Hewlett Packard International; design studio FUGITIVE GLUE with the INSPIRE Group; and artists Jade Rude and Orest Tataryn with D4 Displays. Special Delivery is curated by Shaun Moore and Julie Nicholson of MADE, and Jeremy Vandermeij and Deborah Wang of Toronto Design Offsite.
These trucks installations “take to the streets” in a Fender Bender Party on September 21 and 22, travelling from IIDEX at the Direct Energy Centre to the Gladstone Hotel. This can’t-miss event will introduce the show and the installations to a new audience, sharing art and design with the city at large.
Keynote speakers at this year’s show include Hospitality Keynote Adam Tihany, Founder and Principal of Tihany Design; Emerging Professionals Keynote Todd Bracher of Todd Bracher Studio LLC; Lighting Keynote Will Hastings, Senior Show Lighting Designer, Walt Disney Imagineering; and Architecture Keynote panelists Janna Levitt, Principal Architect of Levitt Goodman Architects; Michael Murphy, Founding Partner and Executive Director, MASS Design Group; and Liz Ogbu, former Innovator in Residence at IDEO.org and Design Director at Public Architecture.
Exercise your mind and get ready to rack up those CEU points. With over 80 accredited seminars, this year’s seminar program offers the latest topics and trends from the very best in design and architecture. Space is limited and tickets are selling quickly, so be sure to download the 2012 IIDEX Conference Planner! Plus register for a seminar today and receive free admission into the IIDEX Exhibit Hall.
