The Victoria, B.C. design practice idealink architecture ltd. has joined Cannon Johnston Architecture, the Canadian counterpart of Cannon Design architectural, engineering and planning of North America. Founding principals of idealink Christopher Rowe and David Wilkinson have been named vice presidents of Cannon Johnston Architecture and officers of Cannon Design. The Cannon Johnston practice will diversify and expand throughout the Pacific Northwest and continue work in sports, recreation and wellness facilities.
Rowe and Wilkinson have been responsible for projects such as the Vancouver Island Technology Park (Canada’s first gold LEED building and a BOMA Earth Award winner), Mermaid Wharf condominiums, Victoria, B.C.’s Broad Street development, Port Hardy Civic Centre, Valemount Springs Resort and Victoria’s CIVI television broadcast facilities among others.
