Traps opens at Extension Gallery in Chicago

February 7, 2007
by Canadian Architect

The Extension Gallery presents its second exhibition, entitled Traps, from February 9-March 31, 2007. Traps is an installation by Jonathan Miller that uses several configurations of television sets, displaying clips that are appropriated from historical and contemporary cinema, creating an opportunity to observe how media produces space.

Located in the Chicago Arts District, Extension is an experimental forum for testing new thought and practice in architecture, a platform for dialogue between national and international practices. It joins more than 20 other galleries in one of Chicago’s most well established art and cultural communities. Through the 50+-year commitment of the Podmajersky Family, this vibrant community hosts a series of events throughout the year which are open to the public and contribute to the depth and variety of Chicago’s cultural landscape.
