The Holcim Awards celebrate innovative, future-oriented and tangible sustainable construction projects from around the globe. The program also provides prize money of $2 million per three-year competition cycle. To be eligible for entry, the project must not have commenced execution prior to June 1, 2007.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Ray Cole, Professor and Director, School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture at the University of British Columbia, and Juror of the 2008 Holcim Awards.
The reception takes place at Currents at Bayshore Restaurant and Lounge, the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver, on Thursday, January 17, 2008, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Cocktail and hors d’oeuvres take place from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, and the keynote address and information on the Holcim Awards run from 6:00pm to 6:30pm.
