Historic Cities Programme Seminar Series in Vancouver

Three upcoming sessions in this program will take place in Vancouver during the month of May, all running from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at the Pendulum Gallery, located at 885 West Georgia Street. They are as follows:

May 15, 2008
Inge Roecker from the UBC School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture speaks on “Lu’s Social Enterprise Pharmacy for Women in the Downtown Eastside.”

May 22, 2008
This session entitled “Tools for Empowerment: Arts and Culture on the Downtown Eastside” includes the following participants: Janice Abbott, CEO, Atira Property Management Inc; Michael Clague former Director of the Carnegie Centre; and Hank Bull, Executive Director, Centre A.

May 28, 2008
Anthony Welch, Professor of Islamic Art and Architecture, Iranian Painting, Architecture of Muslim India, University of Victoria, presents this session on “The Emperor’s Grief: Two Early Mughal Tombs of Delhi.”
