Greenbuild NEXT International Conference and Expo on now in Toronto

Greenbuild NEXT is the first time the US Green Building Council is hosting Greenbuild outside the United States. Greenbuild 2011, on now in Toronto until Friday, October 7, celebrates what’s next for green building, and will showcase the latest in innovative products and services, exemplifying the idea of utilizing green to grow business to attendees from around the world. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet with green building colleagues, network with leading industry professionals and learn from international representatives from around the world.

Speakers include New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, ABC News political commentator Cokie Roberts, former Prime Minister of Canada Kim Campbell, medical anthropologist and physician Dr. Paul Farmer, and USGBC President & CEO Rick Fedrizzi.

On offer are education sessions, LEED workshops, and other special events. Participate in green building tours — from renovated warehouses to top of the line skyscrapers — in Toronto’s dynamic downtown, discover Canada’s sustainable wineries in Niagara, or witness the future of health-care facilities. Half-day tours are held Friday, October 7 from 1:30pm – 5:30pm, and full-day tours take place on Saturday, October 8 from 9:00am – 5:00pm.
