Join Sustainable Buildings Canada on Thursday, October 3, 2013 for a full day of big ideas and engaging discussions on integrated design solutions for district-scale sustainability.
The event format has been streamlined to an idea-packed one-day program addressing the hot topic of Integrated Design Solutions for District-Scale Sustainability. The program continues the exploration of 2030 Districts which are at the forefront of regional efforts to create strong environmental partnerships, coalitions and collaboration around the ambitious, measurable and achievable goals called for by Architecture 2030.
A very competitive summer special registration rate of $129 is being offered. And an exciting new venue has been booked – Daniels Spectrum – in the midst of Toronto’s newly revitalized Regent Park community. Daniels Spectrum is located at 585 Dundas Street East in Toronto.
Opening keynote is Ken Livingstone, former mayor of London from 2002-2008, who will join via videolink. Other featured speakers include: Jennifer Keesmaat, Chief Planner at the City of Toronto, who will discuss her views on planning for sustainability at the city level; Daniel Skog, City of Malmö, Sweden; Brian Geller, Seattle 2030 District; Scott Weir, E.R.A. Architects; Dale Mikkelsen, Simon Fraser’s UniverCity; Craig Applegath, DIALOG; and Dan Leeming, The Planning Partnership .
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available.
