From June 9 to November 20, 2005, this installation by Canadian writer and artist Douglas Coupland of Generation X fame reflects on the impact of building toys how they affect our perceptions of the world and what we do as adults. Inspired by the 1960s toy kit Super City, Coupland has devised for the Canadian Centre for Architecture an imaginary “future city” densely layered with elements of his own universe. Adults $10, seniors (65 and over) $7, students $5, children aged 6 to 12 $3, and no charge for Friends, persons with limited mobility, or children aged 5 and under. Thursday evenings, admission to the museum is free after 5:30pm. For more information, please call 514.939.7026 or visit www.cca.qc.ca/supercity/eng.
