Doors Open Toronto wants you on May 29 and 30, 2010. After 10 years, 1.5 million visits and hundreds of buildings, Doors Open would like to start its second decade by inviting Toronto architects to showcase their latest and greatest work as part of its special focus on architecture in partnership with the Toronto Society of Architects. This call for ideas is an opportunity for architects to tell Doors Open about their newest buildings, most innovative green projects, hippest heritage restorations and more.
Doors Open Toronto is an annual celebration featuring free access to architecturally, historically, culturally and socially significant buildings citywide, from Stantec (former McGregor Sock Factory) to the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. Presented by Museum Services, City of Toronto, Doors Open Toronto received a 2009 Urban Leadership Award from the Canadian Urban Institute.
Doors Open is looking for buildings located in Toronto that demonstrate architectural excellence and highlight Toronto’s architectural community. To have your building and considered for the 2010 roster, please submit details by January 15, 2010. Doors Open Toronto will take place the weekend of May 29-30, 2010. Send submissions to Elizabeth Gallacher at [email protected] and 416.338.0492 or to Jane French at [email protected] and 416.338.0496.
