DO Design 2013 is a free four-day exhibit showcasing contemporary design in a vibrant Toronto neighbourhood – Dundas Street West between Bathurst and Grace Streets.
Taking place from January 24-27, 2013, the third annual Do Design event will turn a variety of storefronts on Toronto’s Dundas Street West into exhibition venues showcasing design objects. Do Design’s unique format provides visitors a refreshing means to discover and celebrate design in the city during Toronto design week and the Toronto Offsite Design Festival. You will find design works from over 30 individuals and studios in a diverse range of host venues, which highlight the diversity of the neighbourhood itself and include boutiques, cafés, a pharmacy, hardware store, beauty parlours and showrooms. Most pieces are visible from the street and may also be viewed outside regular opening hours.
Venues along the strip include MADE, Bookhou, L’Ouvrier, Comrags, Creatures Collective, Campagnolo and so many more.
Exhibitors include Christina Zeidler and Deanne Lehtinen, Jade Rude, Orest Tataryn, Brothers Dressler, Designlump, Bev Hisey, Heidi Earnshaw, Les Archivistes, and several others.
Join the free guided walking tour on Sunday, January 27th at 2:00pm.
