Dalla-Lana Griffin Dowling Knapp (DGBK) Architects of Vancouver, in association with KFS Architects of Shanghai have won a limited international competition between six firms for the Master Plan of Ai Jian City in Harbin, China. The architects developed a radial plan with a heritage park at the centre of the site and converted a local locomotive plant into a museum linked to a shopping district. Water features within the site echo natural lakes on the north side of the Songua River. DGBK were also invited to submit a Master Plan for the Shanghai 2010 World Expo bid.
