Design Matters with Bruce Kuwabara

Bruce Kuwabara, renowned Canadian architect and a founding partner of Toronto-based KPMB Architects is delivering a public lecture on Thursday, December 11, 2014 on the University of Calgary’s downtown campus.

This is the final Design Matters lecture of the year hosted by the University of Calgary’s EVDS. Entitled “Every Building Implies a City: 9 Strategies for Future Cities,” the lecture will present nine strategies and related examples to consider in shaping the world we want. Join the discussion as Kuwabara explores the unique position of Canadian architects to promote open, tolerant societies through the creation of significant public space in every act of building and urban design.

The lecture runs from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the University of Calgary Downtown Campus Event Centre, located at 906 – 8th Avenue SW.
Admission is free for students and $10 for non-students. The general public is welcome.
