Constructing Vancouver – The Role of the Patron: A Conversation with Ian Gillespie and Gregory Henriquez

November 5, 2010
by Canadian Architect

The University of British Columbia School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA) has announced the first in a series of conversations with architects and their clients. Westbank Projects’ Ian Gillespie and Henriquez Partners’ Gregory Henriquez have recently shared their energy and enthusiasm on a number of development projects in the city. They will be discussing current proposals as well as the recently completed Woodward’s project in an informal setting moderated by SALA professor Chris Macdonald. The event will provide a lively glimpse into the important relationship between patron and designer, and what the success of that relationship can mean for the quality of Vancouver’s urban realm.

The conversation takes place from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 in the Woodward’s Atrium, located at 149 West Hastings Street in Vancouver.
