Architect Clifford Wiens delivers a lecture at 6:30pm on October 26, 2006 at the Cambridge Galleries, Design at Riverside, located at 7 Melville Street in Cambridge, Ontario. The lecture accompanies the travelling exhibition Telling Details: The Architecture of Clifford Wiens which runs until November 5, 2006.

Clifford Wiens is Saskatchewan’s most acclaimed modernist architect. He was born into a Mennonite family near Regina in 1926 and grew up on a farm, where, out of sheer necessity, he became skilled at improvising repairs and inventing implements. As an architect, he likewise became a great innovator of architectural and structural details.

Telling Details is a career survey exhibition that examines his most famous buildings and industrial designs through their “telling details.”

The exhibition is curated by Trevor Boddy and is organized by the Mendel Art Gallery.
