Celebrate Arne Jacobsen at Inform Interiors

March 3, 2015
by Canadian Architect

On March 9, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Inform Interiors is celebrating Arne Jacobsen and his dedication to crafting timeless design. Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) was a renowned Danish architect and designer, known for classics such as the Egg, Swan, Ant and Series 7 chairs. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Series 7 chair, designed by Jacobsen in 1955, and which has been produced by Fritz Hansen since that time.

The program for the evening includes: a seminar depicting Arne Jacobsen’s work; the launch of limited edition Anniversary Series 7 chairs; a workshop with Fritz Hansen’s Master Upholsterer, Hans Thure Mannerhagen, who will be visiting from Denmark. Witness the craftsmanship that goes into each of the products as Mannerhagen hand-sews the Egg chair, undoubtedly one of the Danish Modern classics.

Please RSVP to [email protected]. Space is limited. Inform Interiors is located at 50 Water Street in Vancouver.
