The 14th annual design and build competition to benefit the Daily Bread Food Bank is launching. Team of architects, engineers, designers and students attending schools of architecture, engineering and design will design and build structures made entirely from canned foods within a 10’ x 10’ x 8’ space in the Toronto Dominion Centre in Toronto.
January 31, 2013 is the information night; February 28, 2013 is the deadline for entries. The design submission deadline is March 29, 2013, and April 26, 2013 is the deadline for purchasing cans. Food delivery to the Daily Bread Food Bank takes place on May 21-24, 2013, and build night is on May 27, 2013. Winners will be recognized on Award Night on May 28, 2013. The structures are to be torn down on June 2, 2013 after a period of display.
