Canadian Urban Institute presents city-building panel on April 5

March 5, 2016
by Elsa Lam

PM-City-We-Want-INSTATickets are on sale for the Canadian Urban Institute’s April 5 panel event. Entitled The City we Want, the panel includes Gia Biagi of Chicago firm Studio Gang, Emily Munroe of 8-80 Cities, and Vedran Dzebic from the University of Waterloo’s Urban Realities Lab.

How do we create the City we want? This event brings together architecture, design, planning, engagement and psychology experts to discuss how people’s needs and values shape the design of our cities. What measures/proven best practices exist to ensure stakeholders directly participate in the design and planning process? What is the relationship between urban design and its impact on the human experience?

The session, as part of the CUI’s +PLACE MAKER session, is geared towards owners, developers, architects, planners and consultants interested in learning more about how we can design healthy, liveable cities that better serve us.

Register using the discount code “Architect” to receive $10 off general admission.
