Catapult: Launching Canadian Design to the World will be a featured exhibit at the IIDEX/NeoCon Canada trade fair this year, to be held in Toronto in September. Conceived of and implemented under the umbrella of IIDEX/NeoCon Canada and under the auspices of the Department of Canadian Heritage, International Investment and Trade Branch, Trade Routes Program, Catapult was curated by Toronto design consultant Esther Shipman who is best known for her creation of the VIRTU Design Competition. Catapult will showcase a selection of work by seven Canadian designers including Crinion Associates (Toronto), Designlines Canada (Vancouver), Gad Shaanan Design (Montreal), KARO Design (Vancouver), Kerr & Company (Toronto), Michel Dallaire Design Industriel (Montreal) and Scot Laughton Design (Toronto).
