BRAVOS: Groundbreaking Spanish Design, otherwise known as Diseño español de vanguardia, an exciting exhibition that runs for a brief time between August 8 to 23, 2012 at the Design Exchange in Toronto.

Curated by Juli Capella, BRAVOS introduces the most innovative product design from the Spanish design boom. With an important design history including Gaudí, Dalí, Ricard, Milá, Tusquets, and Mariscal, the 21st century has unravelled a new generation of Spanish designers who are comparable to the Scandinavian, Italian and Dutch designers of decades past. Curator Juli Capella has researched and selected the Spanish designers. He has chosen 21 of the most talented and successful artists and designers who are set to trail blaze the future of Spanish design.

From internationally renowned designers Jaime Hayon, Patricia Urquiola, and Martin Azua to young experimentalists Curro Claret and Nacho Carbonell, the Design Exchange is excited to host BRAVOS for a limited time on its historic trading floor.
