The Design Exchange (DX) has announced the date of its annual fundraiser, the Black and White Gala, which will be held Saturday, October 15 at the DX, located at 234 Bay in the historic Toronto Stock Exchange building. It will be a ticketed event with proceeds to support the Design Exchange’s education programs for students of all ages. Ticket prices are $100 (for DX Members) and $150 for the general public.
The theme for this year’s gala is "illumination". For the first time in years, the DX will turn on the historic Trading Floor lights, an important architectural feature of the original Trading Floor. The "illumination" theme will be pervasive in the dcor and other elements for this special fundraiser. Says DX President Samantha Sannella, "This extraordinary fundraiser will explore the many ways that design can illuminate the human spirit and the world itself. We’ll shine a light on the next generation of new designers, and our guests will have an unforgettable and inspiring night."
The DX is proud to announce that it has secured sponsorship from Audi and TD both of whom are returning sponsors. The DX is Canada’s design museum, a non-profit, registered charity that focuses on building awareness of design in Canada. Its mission is to educate Canadians about the value of design through enriching and engaging programs.
