IIDEXCanada, Invent Dev and ArchDaily invite designers and architects to submit unbuilt and fantasy projects for the ArchDaily + IIDEXCanada Virtual Spaces Competition.
Entrants will submit images of renderings of unbuilt projects and be evaluated by an international jury of design and architecture professionals. Three winners will be selected in three square-footage categories and will have their spaces developed into virtual spaces by Invent Dev and exhibited using virtual reality headsets at IIDEXCanada 2015 in Toronto. Winners will also be flown to the 2015 show for an awards ceremony on the IIDEXCanada Keynote Theatre Stage and for the launch of the exhibition.
The new technology developed by Invent Dev provides boundless opportunities for architects, designers and developers to have their clients and investors experience their project designs before they are built.
Students may enter this contest.
The submission deadline is April 1, 2015 at 11:59pm.
If selected, your space and studio will be: featured at IIDEXCanada 2015 to over 15,000 design and architecture trade professionals; featured on ArchDaily.com in December 2015; exposed to the IIDEXCanada digital network exceeding 200,000 professionals; reviewed by our prestigious jury of professionals developed into a virtual space by Invent Dev.
The jury is comprised of: Alvin Huang, principal, Synthesis Design + Architecture; Assistant Professor, USC School of Architecture; Elena Manferdini, principal, Atelier Manferdini; Francis Bitonti, Francis Bitonti Studio; Hani Rashid, co-founder and principal, Asymptote Architecture; and Wendy W Fok, creative director + founder of WE-DESIGNS.
