The purpose of this awards program is to recognize individuals and collaborative teams creating excellent, leading-edge interior environments. The program is open to interior design and architecture professionals and teams practicing legally in their jurisdictions. Projects must have been completed after April 2009 (and not previously published)
The jury this year includes Peter Conant, IIDA, AIA, LEED AP of Conant Architects; Stacey Reed, IIDA, LEED AP of the University of Texas System, Office of Facilities Planning and Construction; and Dianne Juba, IIDA of General Services Administration. The moderators are Robert Moylan, IIDA, LEED AP of the Smith Group, and Susan S. Szenasy, Editor in Chief of Metropolis magazine.
September 23, 2010 is the deadline to request an entry kit, and the submission deadline is October 6, 2010.
The results of the Smart Environments Awards will be announced during the USGBC Greenbuild Expo, and selected winners may be invited to present their work. Winning projects will be considered for publication in Metropolis and on its website.
